Michigan Wrestling Academy ("we," "us," or "our")

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information through our team management application at mwastrength.com (the "Service"). The Service is used by coaches, athletes, and parents of our wrestling program.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to run our team program:

• Account information: name, email address, and phone number (if provided), along with a username and password for login.
• Athlete training data: workout logs, conditioning results, strength program progress, and attendance records.
• Health-related team data: weigh-in records and body composition reassessments used for training and competition planning.
• Journal entries and photos: training journal notes and photos that athletes choose to upload.
• Team communication: messages posted in the team message board.
• Payment records: records of team dues and payment status. We do not store credit card or bank account numbers.
• Parent-athlete relationships: which parent accounts are linked to which athletes, so parents can view their own child's information.

How We Use Information

We use this information only to operate the team program:

• To provide athletes and parents access to workouts, schedules, and team information
• To track training progress, conditioning, and attendance
• To send account-related emails (such as invitations and password setup)
• To send SMS text notifications to users who have opted in (see "SMS Notifications" below)
• To manage team dues records

SMS Notifications

If you opt in to SMS notifications, we will send text messages such as practice reminders, schedule changes, and team announcements. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of using the Service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message, or reply HELP for assistance. You may also contact us at steve@michiganwrestlingacademy.com.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your information. We do not share your information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

We use a small number of service providers solely to operate the Service: cloud hosting and database services, email delivery for account invitations, and SMS delivery for text notifications. These providers process data only on our behalf and only as needed to provide the Service.

We may disclose information if required by law.

Children's Privacy

Most of our athletes are minors. We take their privacy seriously:

• Athlete accounts are created and managed by the coach as part of team enrollment, with parental knowledge through the team registration process.
• Parents may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us at steve@michiganwrestlingacademy.com.
• Children under 13 do not create their own accounts. Accounts for athletes under 13 are created by a parent or guardian, or by the coach with parental knowledge, which serves as verifiable parental consent for the collection of the child's information described in this policy.
• We collect only the information needed to run the team program, and we never use athlete information for marketing.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep information for as long as an athlete or parent participates in the program. You may request deletion of your account and associated information at any time by contacting us at steve@michiganwrestlingacademy.com.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections and role-based access controls, so that athletes and parents can only see their own information.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and note the new effective date.
